Idaho Privacy Notice

This notice describes information handled when someone visits Idaho Released Inmates, uses a partner search box, follows an official link, or sends a message. External government sites and search providers apply their own privacy terms. Using this site means accepting the practices stated here.

Information That May Be Collected

Technical systems may record an IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, viewed pages, timestamps, and similar operational data. A message sent to the site includes the contact details and text the sender chooses to provide. Cookies or comparable browser storage may support basic functions, analytics, advertising, and partner attribution.

The site does not operate the official custody databases. A query entered into a third-party search box passes to that provider under its own terms. Government portals may process a name, IDOC number, birth year, case number, A-number, country of birth, or other search value. VINELink notification registrations, phone numbers, email addresses, PINs, and account data must be entered only in the official service, never submitted to this site.

How Information Is Used

Collected data may be used to deliver pages, answer a message, diagnose errors, secure the service, understand broad traffic patterns, enforce site terms, and measure partner referrals. It may also help correct an Idaho source link or clarify which county, IDOC, Commission, court, BOP, or ICE route a page should describe. The site aims to avoid publishing needless personal identifiers from example records.

Cookies and Service Providers

Analytics vendors, advertising networks, hosting providers, and search partners may receive limited technical or interaction data needed for their services. Their cookies and retention rules are not controlled here. Browser settings can block or clear cookies, although some functions or referral tracking may then work differently.

When Data May Be Shared

Information may be shared with vendors that operate hosting, analytics, advertising, or search functions; with professional advisers protecting legal rights; during a lawful business transfer; or with law enforcement and other authorities when a valid legal order requires disclosure. Personal information is not claimed to be sold as an official Idaho custody record, and this site does not host those records.

Links to Other Sites

Links may lead to IDOC, the Commission of Pardons & Parole, county sheriffs, Idaho courts, VINELink, BOP, ICE, or independent tools. Each destination controls its own collection, cookies, security, and retention. Review the destination's notice before entering a name, identification number, notification contact, or payment information.

Security and Retention

Reasonable safeguards are used, but no web transmission or storage method is guaranteed secure. Messages and technical records may be kept only as long as needed for operations, legal duties, dispute handling, or security. Visitors should not send passwords, VINELink PINs, full identity documents, or sensitive case material.

Children Under Eighteen

The service is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under eighteen. If information from a minor was submitted, a parent or guardian may request review or deletion where applicable.

Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on the governing law and the context, a person may ask to access, correct, or delete personal data held by the site, or object to certain processing. Requests should use the Contacts page and identify the relevant interaction without adding unnecessary sensitive data. Rights concerning an official Idaho record must be exercised with the public agency or outside provider that holds it.

Changes to This Notice

This privacy notice may be revised as services, vendors, or legal duties change. A new version takes effect when posted here with its updated terms.
